Police is an Italian fashion brand that got its start in sunglasses in 1983 and later expanded into other verticals including watches in 2003. They are a pretty small watch brand yet have gained significant exposure through male celebrities wearing their pieces.
The main selling point of these watches are their focus on being big, bold and masculine. If you have a large, weighty, bulky watch that really stands out then you’ve found a great brand.
This however can be a big drawback for some but keep in mind they do have some other less bulky designs. Big and powerful is just their specialty.
Their very unique and almost futuristic looking designs really help them stand out in the vast watch market. Some of these styles can not be found with any other brand making Police watches a great option if you want something incredibly unique that people are not used to seeing.
Aside from the uniqueness, the price is also pretty reasonable and slightly less than your typical designer brand averaging around $150 with some as much as $400 or as little as $80
Given their specialty, it makes sense that they would be primarily focused on mens watches of which they have a pretty strong selection. They do offer a few womens and uni-sex models too.
It’s hard to say how many models the brand sells in total as the manufacturer website is clearly not up to date and online retailers list varying selections from this brand. Could be difficult to track down all available options.
Just like its designer brand counterparts, the watches timekeeping ability can be hit or miss. Some people have had no trouble, others have problems from day one and changing the battery doesn’t ever seem to solve the problem.
Police watches are best used for casual wear where the watch won’t be getting banged around too much. It can be a great piece of flair that spices up any casual style. It is not recommended to use as active wear or business wear but some styles could work as a dress watch as well.
